Use the magic of the web to enhance your job search

The use of the internet has changed the way jobs are advertised. Gone are the days of circling advertisements in the local press. With so much material on the internet the problem is of how to manage it all. You have to check several job boards, specific company websites, blogs, news, and so on every day.

There is a solution to this. It is called Really Simple Syndication or RSS. This is a means to push content out onto the web. If you have a feed reader, like Google Reader, you can pull lots of feeds together in one place and read them as you would your e-mails. RSS is particularly useful for blogs, where you don't have to visit many blogs throughout the day. Main companies and career sites have become to include RSS feeds for their job posts.
